Scott, glad you are interested. I’ll post more information this summer and fall. In the meantime, if you have specific questions right now, let me know.
is there a min amount per person that has to be raised, and who provides the accommodations at the end of each day. are there scheduled rest stops on the route, and are there sponsored presentations in the evening. do you normally ride in groups according to pace .thanks for your input
Scott, there has not been a minimum amount to raise. Also, Bike Out Hunger has covered the accommodations each night and expect to this year as well through corporate sponsorships. There are scheduled rest stops every 20 miles. We do break into three groups based on speed/ability and those are self-appointed. There are a few sponsored presentations, those will depend upon the final route. Thanks for your questions.
Good questions! Yeah, the sooner there are details, the sooner I can start bugging friends to do it with me!
Living in Bmt, I was hoping you’d leave from here again, but I’m still wanting in!
I’ll get these up as soon as possible…probably early November as I’m headed out of town again. Thanks for the interest and bearing with me on the final details.
I’ll get some more posted in early November. I’ve got to drive the route to ensure the road conditions. Thanks for your interest. Sorry for the late reply…been out of country…
This sounds interesting. I had planned on attempting an ironman event this spring but that doesn’t look like it is going to happen. So, looking for an alternative.
Would love to do this to help people. Send info asap on the 2012 bike ride. Was hoping it would start in Beaumont again. I live about 30 miles north of Beaumont.
Hey, we have a lot of information posted in http://www.bikeouthunger.org now, including the registration.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Hey Rand
just wanted to know if there was any way to keep up with the money that is being donated on my behalf so that i will know how much I have to come up with or by Gods grace celebrate the excess.
Yes, I’ll send a report out this week. I had sent one about two weeks ago now. If you didn’t get one, nothing had come in for you yet. I’ll be sure to get those out soon. Thanks for asking and being involved!
I would love to have more info on 2012. Ride as it becomes available. Thanks

No worries. Is it alright if I grab a logo and link here from my page?
Certainly. Please do. If you e-mail me from the homepage, I’ll send you one directly. And we’ll work at placing a downloadable logo on here.
I am very interested in riding 2012… Please email me details… Thanks.

Marvin, which Ironman were you trying out? I’m looking into either The Woodlands or Austin. It’d be great to have you join us.
